CARAT WEIGHT

Carat (ct) is the metric unit of measurement for the physical weight of diamonds. and other gemstones. One carat equals to 0.2 grams and it is subdivided into 100 points of weight. For example, a 25 point diamonds equals to 0.25 ct.

Many people often get confused with Karat, which is the metric unit of gold purity.

AGDR uses calibrated scales which provides accurate information about diamond weight. Also, it is important that two diamonds with the same carat weight can look completely different due the other properties of the diamond, such as clarity, colour and cut.
